Environmental groups on Thursday asked a California federal judge to reject federal regulators’ bid to delay the restart of a suit about the potential health risks of water fluoridation, and claimed an ongoing government review of a critical study has no end date and the document may never be published.

Food & Water Watch and other organizations said that a National Toxicology Program analysis of scientific literature surrounding fluoridation and a data study was completed last year and should be turned over for their review, in a memorandum objecting to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s request for a six-month hold on the case.
