Smithville stops fluoridating water

Posted on February 23, 2013 United States, MissouriSmithville is no longer adding fluoride to the city water supply.
City Administrator Steve Garrett said the decision was an economic one, which should save Smithville $5,000-$10,000 a year. He also noted that it doesn’t mean the city’s supply will be free of fluoride as there is a level of three parts per million that is naturally occurring.
