Fluoride in water ‘hurts’ intelligence

Nacada chairman John Mututho on Saturday said there are high fluoride deposits in water from boreholes in Naivasha.

A recent report, Fluoride and Intelligence: The 37 studies-conducted by the global Fluoride Network, says the chemical affects human IQ.

“We have in the past raised the issue of quality water in Naivasha but this has not been addressed,” he said in Naivasha.

Mututho urged the county government to hasten the process of seeking water from the Aberdares in Nyandarua county to address the challenge.
