… In old business, the board tackled fluoride usage in the water. At their Sept. meeting, city officials voted to survey citizens about the usage of fluoride in the water. Recent changes no longer mandate fluoride to be used. Sheets were placed at city hall for citizens to vote when they paid their water bill. The survey lasted for nearly two months.

As of 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, a total of 147 people had voiced their opinion on the fluoride usage, with 106 voting to discontinue fluoride usage and 41 people saying they would like to continue to use it. The board unanimously agreed to disallow fluoride usage in the water…
