Bill Osmunson, a dentist in Beaverton and Lake Oswego, said fluoridation causes biomarkers on teeth, which he said was not just a cosmetic issue.

Mayor Lou Ogden responded saying he was frustrated Tualatin was not involved in the discussion with Portland.

Under contract, Tualatin is locked into buying water from Portland.

“I don’t know if we’re in a position to do much,” Ogden said. “But we plan on sending a letter to them expressing our concerns.”
