Fluoride Action Network

A Poster Competition & Teleconference

FAN Bulletin | December 14, 2014

Dear Supporter,

Yesterday was a very good day in our annual fundraiser, especially in terms of the number of donors. We received donations from 37 people totaling  $1,739. With Dr. Mercola matching all donations up to a total of $25,000, the total raised yesterday was $3,478 bringing our grand total up to $39,786 from 213 donors. We are still a long way from our goal of $150,000 from 1000 donors by midnight Dec 31, and our mini-goal of $100,000 by Christmas eve, but we are making good progress and it is gratifying to see how many people appreciate FAN’s work.

This battle is a labor of love for us.

Our number one goal is to make sure that our children’s mental development is not compromised by early exposure to fluoride. The last children in our society that need a lowered IQ are those children from low-income families and they are the primary targets for fluoridation programs. As far as IQ is concerned poor children are already compromised by poorer diets, poorer educational opportunities and a more polluted environment, especially those from the inner city.

Our second goal is to end the horrible rift between honest science and public health policy, which the continued promotion of fluoridation represents. This is a bad practice supported by bad science but far too few people know about this. We can only change that with better education, which includes our web page, our videos, our books, our presentations and our submissions to government agencies. All of this takes money.

Please donate today

A huge thank you to all of you (over 200) who have donated so far. For the remaining 55,000 on our mailing lists please consider making a tax-deductible donation today. We promise to use every dime as effectively and efficiently as we can. Our track record says that with our energy, with our fabulous volunteers and with our creativity we can win this battle even when we are outspent at least 100 to one.

A poster competition

And speaking of creativity here is a competition for the graphic artists among you. We are looking for a poster, which depicts our battle against water fluoridation that can be used in our campaigns around the country and around the world by members of the Worldwide Alliance to End Fluoridation.  The winner can select 5 items from our list of premiums (LINK). The deadline for this poster design is December 29, 2015. Please send your entries as a JPEG file via email to ellen@fluoridealert.org. The winner will be announced at midnight Dec 31.

So who are we?

You can find out this afternoon at 5pm (EST). The entire Fluoride Action Network team will be featured on this month’s International Fluoride Free Teleconference. The call is free and will provide a year-in-review of the fluoride issue, as well as provide an opportunity for supporters to ask the FAN team questions. Please register today and join us for this great opportunity to interact with fellow campaigners from around the world and have your questions about fluoride answered by the experts.

Sincerely,

Stuart Cooper,
Campaign Manager
