Yesterday we had a FANTASTIC fundraising day. The best so far. We received $15,405 from 29 supporters. We got off to a great start with the first $1000 tripled by a very generous donor. Then we got a bumper bundle in the mail, including a very large donation. Then towards the end of the day we received a very big donation, which took our breath away. Our current total stands at $62,827 from 264 supporters.
More good news: when we reach 300 donors (that’s just 36 more) we will receive a very generous pledge of $600. It was going to be $300 but our super angel has doubled the pledge. The total number of donors is really important for us when we approach foundations.
Thanks to everyone. Your donations -both large and small- gave us a huge morale boost in our effort to reach our mini-goal of $75,000 by midnight Christmas Eve.
We at FAN HQ get a lot of FUN checking our totals as each donation comes in on an hour-by-hour basis, and sometimes even a minute-by-minute basis. It is especially exciting when we recognize names we have seen before in past fundraisers, and some many times before. You really are a very loyal bunch and our foundation in every way.
We thought we would let our supporters join in the fun with a little flutter. See FAN’s “12 days of Christmas” competition below. Once you have entered this competition you will have a stake in how close we are getting to your chosen numbers!
Here are the details.
The Competition
Guess what our final totals for the dollar amount received and number of donors will be at midnight on December 31.
The Winner:
The person who gets closest to our final total in $ donated. In the event of a tie, the one that is also closer in terms of the number of donors will be the winner.
The Prize:
The prize will grow on a daily basis like the “12 Days of Christmas” carol, i.e., “On the first day of Christmas my true love (our lovely supporters) gave to us…”
FAN will start off with the first prize (and others if we run short of supporters’ offers). This is what we will offer:
For North America, FAN will pay the airfare for either new FAN director Michael Connett, JD to give a presentation on fluoridation in your community OR Paul Connett, PhD to give a presentation on either fluoridation or Zero Waste and Sustainability. And just to remind you, Michael is an expert on both the IQ and animal neurotoxicity studies.
For anywhere else in the world, FAN will pay half the airfare for the above.
Now to keep the momentum going we invite our supporters to offer a growing prize list by adding a creative prize of your own (not cash – please save that for FAN). What would you like to donate to the jackpot? (please email info@fluoridealert.org ). Do not send anything yet. When the winner has been announced we will arrange for donated prizes to be sent directly to them.
How to enter:
1) Make a donation to FAN of $20 or more and then
2) Email us your estimate of the $ and donor total at info@fluoridealert.org .
3) Each entrant will receive a free bumper sticker and poster signed by the Connett family.
4) Only one entrance per person allowed – BUT groups could organize their members to have multiple entries among themselves.
