A quick fundraising update before we get to the interactive part of our bulletin. Over the weekend we raised $5,490 from 31 donors for a grand total to $25,819 from 112 donors, on our way to our goal of raising $250,000 from 1250 donors by midnight on December 31st. Share “Your Reasons” For Supporting FAN
We all have an important reason, or multiple reasons, why we fight to end fluoridation. Maybe it’s because you want to protect your children or grandchildren, your pets, your own health, or simply because you find it unethical. Whatever the reason, we want to know more about it!
Please share “Your Reasons” for supporting FAN’s campaign to end fluoridation. Send us a sentence or two, plus photos of those reasons (kids, pets, family, community). If you want to take it up a notch, include your reason on a whiteboard similar to what we did this past Spring for our lawsuit (see examples). We will produce a collage of all of our photos and share in a future bulletin, or bulletins.
Submit your photos to FAN’s Education and Outreach Director, Jay Sanders: jstandards@yahoo.com
Share Your Fluoridation Campaign Photos
Have you taken action to end water fluoridation and have photos of your work or campaign activities? If so, please share them with FAN’s international community of professionals, campaigners, and supporters. You can email them to: stuart@fluoridealert.org
Please provide a brief description of what is happening in each picture and where it’s happening, or post them publicly on Facebook and/or Twitter with the hashtag #EndingFluoridation.
We will feature them in upcoming bulletins, on our website, and on social media. These photos will be a show of solidarity for active campaigners, and inspire new campaign leaders to come forward to take action in their communities. They’re also a great way to promote your own local campaign by making others aware of your efforts.
Below are two examples. The first includes photos from FAN’s two lobby days in Washington, D.C. and my work educating state legislators about the risks of fluoridation. The second is a collage from Jack Crowther of Rutland Fluoride Action, who created a great logo, signage for demonstrations, and window displays in storefronts using FAN’s 10 Facts About Fluoride.
I look forward to seeing all of “Your Reasons,” and your campaign photos! Thank you all for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Stuart Cooper
Campaign Director
