Posted on November 19, 2008 United States, New YorkWater fluoridation opponents in Corning have won a narrow victory. Our newspaper partner, The Leader, reports that by just a ten vote margin voters decided to strip Corning City Council of the authority to add fluoride to the city’s drinking water supply.
On election night fluoride opponents were ahead by about sixty votes with 270 absentee ballots still to be counted. However once all the absentee and affidavit ballots were counted their margin of victory was cut to ten. More details in Wednesday’s edition of the leader.
