HYDERABAD: Renowned dental surgeon Dr MS Gowd has appealed to the FDI World Dental Federation to extend support to tackling of the fluorosis problem in Telangana.

In his interaction with FDI president Dr Tin Chun Wong at the FDI Annual World Dental Congress-2014 held in New Delhi recently, he apprised her of how high concentration of fluoride content in ground water was leading to fluorosis in several rural areas in Telangana.

The former president of Indian Prosthodontist Society identified Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and parts of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts with drinking water having excessive fluoride content.
