Shoalhaven Water will put fluoride into Kangaroo Valley’s drinking-water supply.

The move comes after Shoalhaven council resolved last year to introduce fluoride into the village after a submission from New South Wales Health.

The council says Kangaroo Valley is the last town and village in the Shoalhaven to have access to fluoridated water.

Shoalhaven Mayor Paul Green says water fluoridation is essential for healthy teeth, especially in children and infants.

A fluoridation plant will be commissioned by the council in October.
